THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
WESTERN RESERVE JOINT FIRE DISTRICT

The Western Reserve Joint Fire District is an independent governing body completely independant from the Poland Village and Poland Township governments. Formed in 1985, the Fire District has successfully fulfilled its primary goal to enhance fire related services and to provide life-saving services to the residents of Poland Village and Poland Townships.

The Western Reserve Joint Fire District is governed by a Board of Trustees. In order to ensure fair representation from the communities that are served, the five member board is comprised of two members of the Poland Township Trustees, 2 members from the Poland Village Council and one resident from the community. The resident position is a 2-year term and must alternate from a Village resident to a Township resident each term.
